Whether it’s your first time in drag or you’re a seasoned drag veteran, we want you to bring out your 80s best and join us to celebrate a throwback prom! We want to see your fanciest cumberbund or your brightest puffy-sleeved dress.

Cherry Bomb and Calypso Cosmic will be your MCs for the night, taking you back to the 80s for the night. We have DJ performances from Suck Siren and more artists coming soon! It’ll be groovy, baby. 

Come dressed to impress and ready to show off your look, because we will be having a mini ball! We want to see who’s best dressed, who’s the class princess, who’s the class bad boi and more. Sign up will be at the event.  So, we’ll be giving awards out for the following categories (click the links for moodboards/inspo):

Pretty in Pink: Give us taffeta, shiny fabrics, sequin, puffed sleeves. We want to see your best candy-coloured princess prom dress. Show us what the most popular girl in school wears to prom. Make it extra. Make it tacky. Make it ostentatious. 

Revenge of the Nerds: Geeks get down. Bring us class nerd at prom. Big glasses, suspenders, a preppy sweater. We want to see the nerds busting a move. Show us why you’re most likely to succeed!

Bad Boi Realness:  Dust off your leather jacket and serve us the hottest bad boi at prom. The one who might spike the punch. Show us that you’ve got all the people swooning with even a flick of your cigarette. 

Strapped Up Jocks: Give us captain of the varsity team. Bring your letterman jacket, athletic shorts and sweat bands and get the crowd electrified. 

Superfreak on the Floor: Bizarre. What does the weird kid wear to prom? Bring us your strange, deranged fashion. Give us goth kid, punk prom. 

Best Dressed: This is an overall category. Everyone can walk. We’ll be choosing the overall best dressed to become Prom Royalty!
